Goetz William Louis (Bill), 71, passed away suddenly January 29, 2002, in Scottsdale, AZ. Survived by wife, Alice; daughter, Denise Humphrey (Bruce); son, Charles Goetz (Anita); grandchildren, Erin, Jack, Shane and Kelly Humphrey; Brandon and Camryn Goetz; sisters, Elizabeth Dale (Jack), Fort Collins, CO and Mary Ellen Jurenka, Cheyenne, WY; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Goreth Baker; niece and nephews. Preceded in death by son, Daniel and parents, George and Wilma Goetz. Bill was born and raised in Hartington, NE. He was a Civil Engineer, graduated from Marquette University and served his entire professional career with the St. Paul District US Army Corps of Engineers. He was named to the St. Paul District Hall of Fame and also received the Meritorious Civilian Service Award. Bill had a deep faith and loved his family, his many friends, his ``Corps'' family, his cabin, and all his tennis buddies. Funeral leaving from O'HALLORAN & MURPHY FUNERAL HOME (575 S. Snelling Ave., St. Paul) 651-698-0796, 9:30 AM Saturday. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Saturday at ST. PETER'S HISTORIC CATHOLIC CHURCH, Hwy 13 and Hwy 55, Mendota. Visitation 4-8 PM Friday evening at the funeral home. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
