Lorraine R. Ripczinski

Ripczinski Lorraine R., age 84, passed away Jan. 22, 2002 at Sherman Hospital. She was born in Mpls, MN to Frederick & Emma Ripczinski on August 8, 1917. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1939 with a degree in Physical Education. Received an M.S. from University of Wisconsin in 1953. She taught in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Highland Park, IL and taught kindergarten at McKenley for 35 years. Retired in 1985 from U-46 and taught at Bright Beginners Pre-School for several years before retiring permanently. She was a member at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and active in Kane County Credit Union. Miss Lorraine said she ``never found a child she did not like.'' She had a gift for making each child feel special. Preceded in death by her parents and four sisters. Burial will take place Tue., Jan 29, 2002, 1 PM at Crystal Lake Cemetery.
