Donald Wayne Horvereid

Donald Wayne Horvereid, 72, of Sun City, AZ (originally of Minneapolis, MN), slept peacefully away January 19, 2002. Devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. Survived by wife, Ann; children, Krista, Jon and Karen (Achilleas); brother, Wells (Florence); grandchildren, Annelies, Meindert, Karen, Steven, Susanna, Robert, Charlene, Anita and Nicholas; numerous nieces and nephews, and brothers- and sisters-in-law. Preceded in death by parents, Peter and Agnes, and son, Steven. Born September 27, 1929 in Minneapolis. Served in the US Army in post war Japan and in the USAF stateside during the Korean War. Retired from Unisys in 1989 and moved to Sun City in 1999. When diagnosed terminal last summer, he remarked that he had a wonderful life. We know our lives were made more blessed by him. Don, Papa, Baba, you are loved and sorely missed. Services and burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery will be announced and take place at a later date.
