Joyce Y. Nickel

Nickel Joyce Y., age 71, of Bloomington, died quietly of cancer at N.C. Little Hospice on January 23. Joyce was a devoted elementary teacher/media specialist of 40 years and retired from the Burnsville School District in 1991 after 30 years in the district. Preceded in death by parents, Eldor & Hazel Eulrich; husband, Frank Yost. Survived by children, Michael & Glenda Yost, Ginger & Steve Mountin, Vicki Peterson; grandchildren, Lea & Steve Milisits, Travis & Amy Yost, Jennifer, Todd & Daniel Mountin, and Nicholas Peterson; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn & Logan Milisits; sisters, Jean Kolb and Patricia Miller & their families, and numerous extended family members and friends. The family wishes to extend their special thanks to Kolette and Janie of Fairview Hospice, and the staff and volunteers at N.C. Little Hospice for the unwavering support and compassionate care they offered to Joyce and those who love her. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
