James L. Franklin

Franklin Rev. James L., age 84, of Van Buren, AR, former long-time resident of Maple Plain, MN, went to be with the Lord January 14, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Wilson Franklin; two sons, James (Lynda) Franklin of Maple Plain, Rev. Thomas (Becky) Franklin of Northfield, MN and one daughter, Janean (Robert) Vineyard of Van Buren, AR. He has six grandchildren, Todd, Jennifer, Tim, Jim III, Jonathan, Richard and five great-grandchildren. Reverend Franklin ministered for the Lord in Christian and Missionary Alliance Churches for over 50 years. During this time he served in Wright, MN, Marshfield and Oconto, WI, Maple Plain, MN and Van Buren, AR. Services will be held 11 am Thursday at the Maple Plain Community Church, with visitation 1 hr. prior to service and 5:30-8 pm Wednesday evening at Rettinger Funeral Home, Long Lake.
