Bagley Winifred Mackey, born on Long Island May 14, 1914 from parents Frederick R. Mackey and Florence McWhinney. She was raised in Lawrence, Long Island, NY, attended and graduated from Hood College 1933, worked for Phillip Morris in New York from 1933 to 1937, married 1938 to Ralph C. Bagley of Minneapolis and had four children. While living in Minneapolis, she was on various Minneapolis boards: Northrup School, the Red Cross and Northwestern Hospital. She was a member of St. Martins by the Lake and the Wayzata Congregational Church. She moved in 1966 to Rye, New York where she managed Brentano's book stores and was Director of Community Relations for the Greenwich Hospital. In 1970 she moved to Short Hills, New Jersey, where she managed the Brentano's store there, and in 1977 entered the residential real estate business until her retirement in 1990. Following retirement, Winifred Bagley moved to Essex, CT where she died on December 30 at the age of 87. She is survived by her four children, R. Colt Bagley, London, George N. Bagley, New Canaan, CT, Lonny McDougall, Apollo Beach, FL, and Bridget Bagley of Boulder, CO; and by her grandchildren, Forth Bagley, Sarah Bagley, Gordon Bagley, Liza Bagley, Thomas Vida, Gretchen Vida, Christopher Kerr and Katherine Kerr.
