Nola J. Stangler
Stangler Nola J., 90, formerly of Coleraine, died on Thurs., Jan. 10, 2002 in Grand Rapids, MN. Born on June 2, 1911 in Ft. Belnap, MT she was the daughter of Peter & Mae Alice (Marvin) Mitchell. She graduated from Big Lake High School in 1929 and from the Bemidji State College in 1964. She was a substitute and homebound teacher, and was a Librarian at the Coleraine Public Library. She was a member of the First United Church of Coleraine & Bovey. Survivors include her children, Nola June (Harlan) Scherer of Bemidji, MN & Phoenix, AZ, Margaret Burton of St. Paul, MN, Robert (Inga) Stangler of Grand Marais, MN; 2 brothers, Paul (Barbara) Mitchell of Wayzata, MN, Dean (Janelle) Mitchell of Cancun, Mexico; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence in 1999; her parents; 5 brothers, Marvin, Marclaren, Ben, Peter & David. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service on Tues., Jan. 15, 2002 in the First United Church of Coleraine. The Rev. C. Arlin Talley will officiate. Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Coleraine. Arr. Peterson Funeral Home, Coleraine
