Lindlan Leighton D. ``Rock'', 76, died Mon., Jan. 7, 2002 at Bristol Hospital in Bristol, CT, following a brief illness. Born June 15, 1925, in Mpls., he was a longtime resident of Mound, MN. A graduate of Mound High School, Mr. Lindlan received his degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN, and did post-graduate work at the Univ. of Colorado. A former high school teacher Mr. Lindlan was a real estate broker and served as as Mayor of Mound. In addition to St. John's Lutheran Church, he was very active in civic and community organizations. Survivors: three children & their families: Rick Lindlan, Dagni Falvey, Sonja deSousa. A sister, Kay resides in CA; daughter, Heidi Lindlan predeceased him. Arrangements: Huber Funeral Home, Mound. Service at Friday 1:00 PM at Huber. Burial following at Union Cemetery. Visitation: 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances be made to the Heidi Lindlan Scholarship for Art at Mound Westonka High School, c/o Ms. Tina Kampa, Scholarship Chairperson, 5905 Sunnyfield Rd.
