Folwick, William D. age 85, passed away unexpectedly on April 29, 2017. Bill was born on Jan 15, 1932 in Minneapolis, MN to Orlin and Goldie (Felt) Folwick. After graduating from the University of Minnesota, he married his first love, Ione, in 1953 and raised three sons together. He traveled the world and served his country for 20 years in the United States Navy until he retired as a Lieutenant Commander in 1974. After retiring he settled back to Minnesota where he met his second love and current wife, Marina. He spent his retirement years teaching sailing, performing chorale music, and creating incredible artwork. He and Marina spent the last several years in their custom built log home where they enjoyed the wildlife and serenity of rural Wheeler, WI. Bill is survived by his former wife Ione (Repke) and current wife Marina (Obolensky), three sons, Jeffery, Lewis (Julie) and Nicholas (Rebecca); three stepchildren, Philip, Stephanie, and Daphne Carleton; several grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Bill will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Wilmer, MN by his family on Memorial weekend.
