Goodwin Morris Sr., passed away on January 5, 2002. A Naval Veteran of WWII, he settled in Minneapolis in 1946. In addition to 30 years service as Deacon of Bethesda Baptist Church, he worked for 36 years at Wonder Bread Baking Co., retiring in 1981 as a Master Baker. He leaves to mourn his wife, Earselene; his children, Earline Jorris Jr., and Pamela; sisters, Lucille White, Osie Mae Hollie, Beatrice Tatum, Ellen Graham, and Grace Whitson; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and many nephews, nices, relatives and friends. Morris was a king, caring, compassionate man who set a strong but humble example of character and faith for his family and community. He will be missed. Visitation Thurs., Jan. 10, at 6 PM, Estes Funeral Chapel. Funeral on Fri., Jan. 11 at 11 AM, Bethesda Baptist Church.
