Schlotthauer, Betty (Lundgren) age 82 of Arden Hills, passed away from cancer on Thursday, June 12, 2014. She was born to Albert and Francis Lundgren on April 2, 1932. After leaving her hometown of Gibbon, Minnesota, Betty graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College. She married John Schlotthauer in 1963 and dedicated herself to raising two sons. She was known for her love of life and learning, her compassion and her concern as a global citizen. She will be deeply missed, especially by her son's families, whom she always found opportunities to engage and will remember her whenever a favorite bird flitters by. Betty is survived by her sons, Rob (Debrah) and Steve; grandchildren, Max, Cole, Anna, Luke and sister Bernice Hanson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband John, brothers Lester and Chuck, and sister Shirley Youngblom. Special thanks to the angels from Synergy home care and St. Therese at St. Odilia hospice, who simply loved her. Memorial service in celebration of Betty's life will be held Sunday, June 22nd, 5:00 pm, with visitation starting at 3:00 pm at Grace University Lutheran Church (324 Harvard St SE, Minneapolis). A light supper will follow. Interment 10:30 am the following morning at Roselawn cemetery. Memorials preferred to ISAIAH, St. Therese at St. Odilia hospice or donor's choice.
