Mueller Therese J., speaker and author dies on January 5th, 2002. Therese J. Geuer Mueller died in St. Paul, close to her 97th birthday. She was born in Cologne, Germany, on March 5th, 1905, and immigrated to the United States in 1937 with her husband, Franz H. Mueller (1900-1994), formerly of the University of St. Thomas. Mother of five, Therese Mueller was a speaker, actively involved in marriage preparation classes for the Archdiocese of St. Paul, and an author of essays concerned with Catholic liturgy. She taught Sociology, primarily at the College of St. Catherine, and sculpted religious figures using various media. She was a woman of remarkable versatility, invention, and inspiration. Until only days before her death she actively exercised her skills as a matriarch over three generations. Her children, Mechthild of Cold Springs, MN, Hildegard of Kalamazoo, MI, Gertrud of San Diego, CA, Reinhold of Venice, Italy, and Frank of Calistoga, CA, their children, and their children's children will miss her. Mass of Christian Burial Wed. 10 am at NATIVITY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 324 S. Prior Ave., St. Paul. Interment St. Peter's Catholic Church Cemetery, Mendota.
