Voza, Albert Gerard age 88, of Bloomington, passed away April 18, 2014. Al was born on August 4, 1925 in Jersey City, NJ. His parents, Ernesto and Adelina, were immigrants from Italy. In 1943 Al joined the military service as an Aviation Cadet and served two years. He then attended Columbia University in New York for one year, but completed his Architectural Degree at the University of MN on the G.I. Bill, as he was advised MN had a very good architectural school. Al worked for several architectural firms doing commercial buildings, such as schools, churches, banks, jails, etc. At age 54 he went to work as an architect for Hennepin County. He was active in his church and a loving family man. Al had one sister, Louise, who died in 1994. She had 2 daughters, Laura and Toni, who were special nieces to Al. On March 31, 1951 he married Clarisse (Carrie) Grasser and they lived happily ever after for 63 years together. He is survived by wife, Carrie, and 5 children, Fred (Lina), Connie (John), Mike (Chris), John (Lisa), and Katie (Brent) and 11 grandchildren. Everyone who came in contact with Al found him to be a true gentleman with an optimistic attitude, and he was not one to spend any time worrying. He set a terrific example as a wonderful Husband, Father and Grandfather. He had a strong faith in God and he kept the faith. He will be in all our hearts forever.
