Dorothy M. Gustafson
Gustafson, Dorothy Mae 92, put her hand into the hand of Jesus and entered the joy of heaven on Monday, February 10, 2014. Dorothy was a vibrant and loving spirit with a generous heart. She supported numerous charities at home and abroad because she believed she was blessed to be a blessing. Even though she will be greatly missed by family and friends, her legacy of faith, generosity and compassion will live on in the lives of those she touched. She enjoyed playing bridge, making meatballs and brownies, socializing with family and friends, and had a great sense of humor. She is survived by children, Donna Nordin, Tom Gustafson and Nancy Stevens (Matt); grandchildren, Eric, Kirsten, Rebecca, Erin, Joanna, Lisa and Andrew, and great-grandchildren, Emma, Thea, Vandon, Henry, Fergus, Maxwell, Grady, Mickey, Ben, Graham, Reese, Ariana and Alorah; and many relatives and friends. We will celebrate her earthly life and her new life in heaven on Friday, February 14, at 2 PM at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55419. Memorials appreciated to donor's choice, or as seed money for the development of Saledon, a new ministry close to Dorothy's heart, which will benefit youth in Minneapolis and in Kendu Bay, Kenya. Saledon seed money will be held in trust by Dorothy's daughter and Saledon founder, Nancy Stevens.
