Polhill (Zimmer), Jessica Beth On the day of January 23 at 11:30 am with her parents by her side, Jess passed away due to a short, but fierce, battle with lung cancer. She was 32 years old. Jess had a feisty personality, enjoyed her family, especially her son, friends, a sunny day, and a nice nap. Even though cancer ravished her body, it could not touch her spirit. Jess was born on Oct. 29, 1981. She was the third child to Steve and Kim Zimmer, formerly of NE Mpls, now residing in Saint Michael, MN. Jess attended Webster Open School in NE Mpls, Patrick Henry H.S. and Century College. She was a long term employee of Target NE. Jess was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Panko, Zimmer, and Loftman. G. Polhill, and Milo, her faithful loving companion. Jess is survived by her son, Jaxon Polhill, age 7; Jason Polhill; parents, Steve & Kim Zimmer; sister, Anne (Russ) Krohn; brother, Buford (Jessica) Zimmer, D.S., niece, Hanna and nephews, Ezra, Chase, and Isaac; grandparents, Joyce and Dan Zimmer, Sylvia and Jim Stewart, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends too many to name. A special thanks to MN Oncology and Dr. Laudi and Allina Hospice and nurse Kelly R. In lieu of flowers, please make donations out to "The Family of Jess Polhill" and send to Nativity Lutheran Church. These donations will be put into an educational fund for Jaxon, her son. Visitation on Thurs., Jan 30 at noon followed by funeral service at 1:00 pm held at Nativity Lutheran Church, 3312 Silver Lake Rd., St Anthony, MN 55418.
