Wexler, Muriel (Echert) Born on January 27, 1920, Muriel Louise Wexler passed away five days before her 94th birthday surrounded by her loving family, caregivers, and rabbi. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mark Wexler; son, David Wexler; and brother, John "Tod" Echert. Survived by brother, Thomas (Bettye) Echert; children, Dr. Deborah (Michael Mann) Wexler, Steven (Pam Stewart) Wexler, Elizabeth Wexler; and grandchildren, Sarah Joy, Isaac, Leo, Matthew, Daniel, Ross, Nathan, and Emma Jade. She enjoyed a full life focusing on her family and volunteering for several organizations, including many leadership roles at Mount Sinai Hospital. She was also a voracious reader. Muriel's family is profoundly grateful for the loving care, kindness, and devotion of her caregivers, Jo Cohen, Cindy Asiedu, Selina Afriyle, Kathleen Nolan, and Harriet Hilecher. Our deepest thanks to Mom's wonderful doctors, James Gitter, Sucharita Varikuti, Robert Warshawsky, and many others, for their excellent care over many years.
