Thomford, Barbara D. Age 80. Barbara Davis Thomford, passed away January 14, three days short of her 81st birthday celebration. Born Barbara Joan Davis to Kenneth and Emma Davis she is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bill; sons, Jeff (Robin), Jon (Debbie); sisters, Ruth Mary Steege, Diana Post; grandchildren, Chris, Cory, Elizabeth, Annie, Jack, Laura, Christine and great-grandson, Henry. As a new graduate of the University of Minnesota she taught grade school. She volunteered in church and community but the work she loved most was her years with Mound Community Services. She loved to read, quilt, boat and was an enthusiastic bridge player. Her devotion to family, friends and community, love of storytelling and unshakable determination will be missed dearly by us all. Visitation will be Saturday, January 18 from 2-4 PM at the Honsa Family Funeral Home, 2460 East County Road E, White Bear Lake, MN.
