Fenske, Grace Edna Age 85, of Mpls, passed away 1/7/14 at the N.C. Little Hospice in Edina, following a severe stroke. Grace was born 5/18/1928, in Gaylord, MN to Ernestine (Manthey) and William Boese. She attended school in rural Gaylord and completed LPN training at Union Hospital in New Ulm. On 1/8/1949, Grace was united in marriage to Arthur Fenske. They made their home in Mpls. Grace was a long-time nurse at the Penn Ave. Medical Group in Bloomington, MN. Grace and Art enjoyed hiking with the Mpls Hiking Club, traveling, hunting, and fishing. She and Art hunted pheasants in the Dakotas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Minnesota. Their den was filled with trophy fish (his and hers) from Alaska's Kenai River and the lakes of Ontario, Minnesota, and Florida. In later years they parked their travel trailer at various Minnesota campgrounds, forming lifelong friendships along the way. Grace loved to garden, and she shared her bounty of flowers and vegetables with family and friends. Grace was a woman of great faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her love for her family was second only to her love for the Lord. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Sue (Doug) Johnson; granddaughter, Kari (John) Danek; grandson Paul (Margot) Johnson; great-grandsons, Johnny and James Danek, and Matthew Johnson; sister, Esther (Boese) Franke of Gaylord; one brother- in-law, two sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Art; brothers, Reuben, Harry, and George. It was Grace's wish that there be no memorial service. Private interment in New Ulm, MN. Memorials preferred to N.C. Little Hospice, Edina, or In Touch Ministries, Atlanta, GA.
