Olson, Ruth Priscilla Daughter of Anna (Runstrom) Carlson and step-daughter of Martin Carlson was born October 10, 1917 in Minneapolis and went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, June 5, 2016 at the age of 98. Priscilla grew up on a farm and attended country school in Stark, MN before graduating North Branch High School. She married Victor Olson in 1938. They moved to Minneapolis, had three children: Gary, Avis, and David and were members of Trinity Lutheran Church of Minnehaha Falls. She worked 50 years at Hennepin County Medical Center. She lived in Minneapolis until she was 90 yrs old when she moved in with her son David and his wife Lois. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her favorite times were when she was able to gather her family for brunch or her famous roast beef. We all benefited from the love she showed us. She was thoughtful, caring, supportive and loving. She will be missed greatly and remembered lovingly by all. Survivors include daughter-in-law Carol (Gary) Olson of Lockhart, TX; daughter Avis Laas of Minneapolis, MN; son David (Lois) Olson of Yankton, SD, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Victor, son Gary, and grandsons Curtis and David Ogard. Services will be held at 11 am on June 13, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church of Minnehaha Falls, Minneapolis. Visitation 1 hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to Trinity Lutheran Church's Camp Patmos or Mission Fund or MN Adult and Teen Challenge.
