Reinking, Mavis Ann age 84, of Rockford and previously of Greenfield, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at her residence. She was born on August 22, 1929 in Wayzata, the daughter of Merrill & Pearl Kreatz Hasty. On January 7, 1950, Mavis A. Hasty and Merlin W. Reinking were joined in holy marriage in Plymouth. God blessed their marriage with seven children. Mavis and her husband engaged in dairy farming in Greenfield for many years. Mavis was very family oriented and enjoyed being a farm wife. She was a faithful member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenfield since 1960. Survived by her husband of sixty-three years: Merlin W. Reinking; children: Rick (Vicki) Reinking of Buffalo, Marne Kolasa of St. Michael, Tom (Mary) Reinking of Loretto, Jody (Chris) Hoheisel of Dayton, Mark (Linda) Reinking of Hanover and Jim Reinking of Monticello; twenty grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren; a sister: Gayle Bambenek; a sister- in-law: Donna Hasty and by a brother- in-law: Sandy Sandgren; other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by a son: Ron Reinking; her parents: Merrill & Pearl Hasty; a sister: Marvel Sandgren and by a brother: Douglas "Bud" Hasty. A Memorial service for Mavis Reinking will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenfield. Pastor Dennis K. Strong will officiate. Private interment church cemetery. A Time of gathering will be held on Saturday, November 2nd, 2013 at the church one hour prior to services. Memorials are preferred to Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fairview Hospice of Princeton or to the Donor's choice.
