Gwen M. (Mittendorf) Winiger

Winiger, Gwen M. (nee Mittendorf) Age 79 of Burnsville, passed away September 26, 2013 after a brief battle with cancer. Survived by her husband, Ray; children, Brenda (Steve) Trace, Lori (Jeff) Barum, Matt Hungling (Laurie Rossow); grandchildren, Tracey, Michelle, Cole and Hayley; great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Luke; brothers, Don and Jerry (Carolyn) Mittendorf. Gwen was born in New Ulm, MN. She was a professional Ice Skater with the "Holiday on Ice" show in the 1950's after which she taught skating for several years. She was a member of the VFW Post 1296 and American Legion Post 1776 auxiliaries. Funeral service 11 AM Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at White Funeral Home, 12804 Nicollet Ave S., Burnsville, with a gathering of family and friends on Monday from 5-7 PM and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
