Wester, Richard Vincent "Wes" Born 5/3/1941, he went home to God on 10/1/12. Wes died in Hill City, MN, where he has lived for the past eleven years. Wes grew up in N.E. Mpls. and graduated from Edison H.S. in 1959. Wes served his apprenticeship in the Bricklayers Union and that was his lifelong occupation. Wes entered the Army in Dec. of '63 and was with the 7TH AVN in Da Nang, Viet Nam. After his experience in Viet Nam, Wes became very critical of war. No one could top Wes for catching walleye on Mille Lacs before the advent of gadgets that make it easy today. He also got his deer or two every year (one way or another). Wes had a long-standing love-hate relationship with the Vikings and Gophers. Wes was preceded in death by his father Vincent and mother Lillian Wester. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Rich is survived by his loving daughter, Soyna Campbell (Jim Tousignant); grandson, Travis; his brothers, Dave (Judy) Forest Lake, MN, and Jim (PJ) Remer, MN; and sister Joy (Chesapeake, VA); also many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Rich did not want a service, but those who knew him will always have a "Wes story" to remember him by! Cards and memorials can be sent to: Sonya Campbell 10702 Quincy Blvd. N.E., Blaine, MN 55434.
