Rice, Paul Wallace Age 82, died peacefully April 23, 2011 in Roseville, MN. Preceded in death by wife Irene, parents, brother Bennie and sister Elaine. Survived by daughters, Paula (Erik) Biever, Ellen (Mike) Tichich, Barbara (Dennis) Coplen, Christine (Troy) Iverson and son, Ronavan (fiancee Cindy); and brothers, Leonard, Edward, and sisters, Alice, Julia, Myrtle, Betty, Carol, and Linda; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy of service to family, community, and country. As an educator, Paul was well-respected for his dedication and devotion to the profession. He taught in the Roseville school district from 1957-1968 and went on to serve as the first Principal of Southview Elementary School and later as Principal of Westview Elementary School, both in Apple Valley, MN until retirement in 1985. As a member of the Vets Club, Lions Club, and Grace Lutheran Church, Paul received many merit awards for his outstanding community service. He will be deeply and lovingly missed. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship memorial will be created. Visitation on Friday, April 29 at (5-8PM) at White Funeral Home, 12804 Nicollet Ave, Burnsville, MN 55337.
