Schmidt, Dale Leroy of McKinney, Texas passed away on March 18, 2016 at the age of 69. He was born on March 7, 1947 to Erhard and Sally (Gmeiner) Schmidt in Long Prairie, Minnesota. Dale married Norma Louise Ballou on July 26, 1975 in Minnesota. He was an accountant in the retirement planning industry. Dale is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Norma Schmidt of McKinney, Texas; son, Brad Schmidt and his wife Kara of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Braden Schmidt and Macie Schmidt; mother, Sally Schmidt of Little Falls, Minnesota; sisters, Linda Mielke and her husband Dan of Monticello, Minnesota, Rhonda Mielke and her husband David of Cloquet, Minnesota, Brenda Klein and her husband Steve of St. Cloud, Minnesota; nieces, Kristen Sonju and her husband Chris, Alyssa Snesrud and her husband Miah, Alyson Leno and her husband Jeff, and Karly Klein; nephews, Lee Mielke and wife Christin, Bob Mielke and his wife Karen; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Erhard Schmidt. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 8520 Main St., Frisco, Texas 75033. Interment will follow at Ridgeview West Memorial Park in Frisco, Texas with a reception to follow from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family will receive friends during a visitation Tuesday evening, March 22, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
