Survived by sons, Denis (Beverly), Larry (Kathy Jefferson) and Thomas; daughters, Mary (Richard) Wedgewood and Kathleen (John) Fish; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Colin (Marie), Amy (Paul Sackaroff), Charles (Lisa), Katherine (Thad) Brink, Perrine (Mike Micksell), Margot, Brian, Nicholas, Joseph, Laura, John (Meagan Porter), Sarah , Michael and Angela; great-grandchildren, Emma, Leo, Eleanor, Ava, Liam and Jane; in-laws, Sylvia Dailey, Pam Dailey and friends, Marsha Arndt and Tod Lane; sister, Ruth Johnson and nieces, Noreen, Glenda, Vicki, Julie and Shawn; cousins, Donald (Vivian) and Robert (Marlene) Shannon; and beloved friend, Harlan "Bud" Nickel. Born July 28, 1912 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Died October 12, 2010 in St. Paul, MN. Formerly resided in Winnipeg MB, Vancouver British Columbia, Grand Rapids MN, Moody County SD, Jacksonville IL, Carmel IN, Spaulding Jamaica, Storm Lake IA, Atwater MN, Apache Junction AZ and Roseville MN. She received degrees from the Universities of Manitoba and Minnesota and also attended South Dakota State University. She taught home economics in Winnipeg MB, Vancouver BC, Verdi MN, Jasper MN and Carmel IN high schools. She gave piano lessons everywhere she lived. She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority, AAUW, a 4H leader, county fair judge, flower enthusiast winning the MN Daffodil Society's Artistic Arrangement Award one year and an active Presbyterian Church choir director, accompanist and deacon. The family wishes to extend special thanks to her friends at Eagle Crest Retirement Community and Pres- byterian Church of the Way and especially to Judie Hanson, Katheryn Sundry and Kaira Hogle for all the care, comfort and joy they added to her life. A memorial service will be held at Eagle Crest Commons, Roseville, MN, Friday, October 15 at 4 PM. Memorials may be given to a donor's choice.
