Mary Catherine (O'Leary) O'Neill

O'Neill, Mary Catherine (O'Leary) age 103, died on October 12, 2010 at her home in Edina MN. Mary was born May 16, 1907 in a farmhouse near Easton, MN. She taught school in Menahga, MN before marrying William O'Neill. They had five sons, William Jr., Brian, John, Robert, and Alan. Mary devoted her life to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was fond of gardening, sewing (especially clothes for her grandchildren), and reading. She is survived by sons, William (Jeanette), Menomonie WI, John (Nancy Rios), Alan, both of Minneapolis; daughter- in-law, Ordell O'Neill, Edina MN; sisters, Elsie Pitcher of Chester NY and Margaret Johnson of Wells MN; grandchildren, Colin O'Neill, Siobhan O'Neill, Erin O'Neill, Jean Kelley O'Neill, Mary (Jarod) Bono, Wade and Dan (Heidi) Solberg; great-grand- children, Ashley, Cassidy, Nicholas, Oscar, Max, Jude, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, William; sons, Brian and Robert; four sisters and three brothers. Memorial gathering of family and friends at her home in Edina, Friday, October 22, 2010, 2-4 pm. Please, no memorials or flowers.
