Huddleston, Jeanne Elouise of Minneapolis, MN. Born August 28, 1927. Preceded in death by her mother, Helen Huddleston and uncle, Lloyd Yorks. Jeanne lived in St. Paul for the first 12 years of her life, then moved to Minneapolis where she graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1947. She graduated from Macalester College with a secondary teaching degree. She received her masters degree in Educational Psychology and Child Care and Development from the University of Minnesota in 1955. Jeanne worked as an itinerant teacher for visually impaired children for 20 years in Red Bank, NJ. She returned to Minneapolis to care for her uncle in 1975. She continued her work with children as a tutor at Powderhorn Christian School and Cooper Elementary School, both in Minneapolis, until her retirement in 1990. She enjoyed travel throughout the Midwest and Europe, reading, and attending concerts. She was active in numerous professional organizations and her church. Thanks to the excellent and kind care of her neighbors, Janice and Marv, she was able to continue living her own home until she passed away on October 4, 2010. Service Friday, 1 PM at HENNEPIN AVENUE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 511 Groveland Ave. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Stillwater. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
