John F. Cumming

Cumming, John F., III age 49, of Bloomington, passed away unexpectedly on October 1, 2010. Preceded in death by parents, John & Celia "Frankie" Cumming. Grew up in Bloomington and attended Thomas Jefferson High School, Normandale Community College, and the University of MN. John was an avid Vikings fan and enjoyed a competitive game of Scrabble. He was a kind, gentle, devoted husband, father, and brother. Survived by wife of 20 years, Julie Gerhard; sons, Alex, Ryan, and Josh; sisters, Cathleen (Matthew) Harrington, and Barbara (James) Stover; brother, Robert (Rebecca); and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 7 PM, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 4100 Lyndale Ave. S. with visitation beginning at 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family.
