Raymond Dale Schmidt
Schmidt, Raymond Dale Died September 30, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Rizer-Schmidt; son, Raymond Dale Schmidt, Jr. (Lisa); stepchildren, Todd Rizer (Karen), Cathy Miller (Paul), Amy Goplen (Dan); grandchildren, Madison, Blake, Brittney, Gabrielle, Alec, Jordan, Charlie and loving cat, Shadow; siblings, Ronald Schmidt (Virginia), Russell Schmidt; sister- in-law, Judy Schmidt and many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Vivian Schmidt and brother, Richard Schmidt. Raymond was born April 1, 1940 in Minneapolis, MN. He resided in Minneapolis until 1963 when he relocated to California. He owned and operated several businesses before moving to Isle, Minnesota in 1991. He was employed by Grand Casino Mille Lacs as a pull tab dealer for over 15 years where he made many lasting friends. Raymond (Uncle Elvis) loved Halloween and keeping up the yard. He will be remembered for his perfectly groomed hair, shiny cowboy boots, and his classic black 1963 Pontiac Limo. There will be a private family service. And in Ray's words "End of Story, Case Closed."
