Robert M. Semmes

Semmes, Robert M. Age 61, of Minneapolis passed away on Labor Day after a long battle with cancer. Bob was born in 1948 in Annapolis, MD. His was a Navy family that lived in Spain, Hawaii and Georgia as he grew up. Bob received a Mathematics degree from Emory University with honors and a masters degree in Information and Computer Science from Georgia Tech. Bob moved to Minneapolis in 1982 to study Psychometrics and Statistics at the University of Minnesota. His research there involved detailed aspects of intelligence testing. Bob was divorced and had no children. He is survived by his brother, James, of Valdosta, GA, and by many loving friends. A memorial gathering is planned for Sunday afternoon, October 10.
