Pierson, David A. age 63, passed peacefully, moving from the tender embrace of his family into the loving arms of God on Sept. 15, 2010. David was born in Duluth, MN and was a graduate of Duluth East High School and the University of MN, Duluth. He served as an air traffic controller in the US Navy from 1967 to 1970. Following college graduation he moved to Minneapolis to work in public accounting as a CPA. Later he worked in the private sector as Chief Financial Officer in several companies. He was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church in Richfield for the past 36 years. Preceded in death by parents, Lloyd and Fay Pierson; and brother, Richard L. Pierson. Survived by wife, Julie Pierson; two sons, Kristofer Pierson (Sarah) and Joshua Pierson; and two grandchildren, Evelyn and Oliver Pierson. Also survived by a loving and supportive extended family of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, 6 nephews and 7 nieces. Dave was a people-affirming man who will be missed by many friends. Memorial service Tuesday, Sept. 21, 11 AM at Hope Presbyterian Church, 7132 Portland Ave S., Richfield. Memorials may be given to the ALS Association or the American Cancer Society.
