Dorothy Elizabeth (Ware) Smithson

Smithson, Dorothy Elizabeth (Ware) 96, of Duluth, died on Friday, Sept. 10, 2010 in her daughter's home. She was born March 23, 1914 in Minneapolis to Abraham and Melina Ware. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry. Survivors include her son, James (Rita) Smithson of Eden Prairie, MN; their children, Mark (Michell) Smithson and children, Nicole, Jacquelyn and Jake; Michael (Julie) Smithson and their children, Tyler, Jenna and Brynn; Michelle Smithson; Dorothy's daughter, Lynn Shubitz of Duluth; her children, Timothy (Emily) Shubitz, their children, Olive and Evie; Christopher (Stephanie) Shubitz their child, Sidney; Matthew Shubitz; Scott (Winnie) Shubitz, their children, Jameson and Harrison; her sister, Virginia Fell of Minneapolis; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Thursday, with a prayer service at 5:00 PM in the Dougherty Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Friday in St. Michael's Catholic Church, with a visitation one hour prior to the funeral in the church. Interment will be in Ft.
