Margaret L. (Stonich) Hokkanen

Hokkanen, Margaret L. (Stonich) Age 86, a long time resident of Duluth, MN, passed away September 9, 2010. Born in Tower, MN, she graduated from Ely High School in 1942. Margaret was an avid volunteer for Meals on Wheels, St. Michael's Church, and a past secretary/treasurer for the Duluth League of Women Voters. She loved a good book, a lively conversation, and straight talk. Preceded in death by her husband, Llewellyn and eight brothers and sisters. Survived by son, Charles (Sally); grandchildren, John and Molly; sister, Helen Swartout; sister-in-law, Sharon (Roger) Erickson; numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass Saturday, September 18th, 11:00 am at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 4901 East Superior St., Duluth. Reception to follow Mass. Private Interment. Memorials preferred to St. Michael's Church or Lakeshore Lutheran. Cremation Society of MN 612-825-2435
