Calista Bechthold Sullivan

Sullivan, Calista Bechthold Age 94, of Minneapolis, passed away peacefully Feb. 6th. Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; devoted friend, church lay leader, teacher and world traveler. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew her. Preceded in death by husbands, Harold Sullivan and Gilbert Bechthold; son, George; sister, Helen; and brother, Vaughn. Survived by son, Jim (Karen) Bechthold; grandchildren, Mary (John) Casper, Jeff (Meghan) Bechthold, Kim (Brian) Delgado, Kurt (Nancy) Bechthold, Melissa Bechthold; 7 great-grandchildren. stepchildren, David (Patricia), Dennis, Michael, and Linda Sullivan; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. Born in Durand, WI, graduated from Hamline University and received her Master's degree from the U of M. Taught Special Ed in the Minneapolis School system, retiring in 1979. Her love of traveling took her to over 50 countries. Service will be Friday, 2/ 13/09 at MINNEHAHA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 3701 E 50th Street, Mpls. Visitation beginning at 10 AM, service at 11 AM with a lunch to follow.
