Bye (Rhodes), Sue Age 67, of Saint Anthony, MN, passed away of cancer January 2. Sue was born in Sioux City, Iowa. Her family later moved to Chatfield, MN, where she graduated from Chosen Valley High School. After attending Macalester College, she married Steve Bye in 1970. They lived for four years in Henning and Aurora, MN and then moved to Loveland, CO where Sue became an electrical technician. In 1981 they moved to Mukilteo, WA where she worked for Hewlett-Packard as an electrical technician and technical writer for 24 years. After retiring in 2002, Sue and Steve moved back to the Twin Cities. Sue had a lifelong passion for weaving and other textile arts. She was a member of the Seattle Weavers Guild and, after retirement, the Weavers Guild of Minnesota, where she taught, worked on committees, and served on the board. She also enjoyed singing and belonged to the Prospect Park Community Choir. Sue had many wonderful friends. She maintained close connections to friends from high school, college, and work, and cherished many newer friends she made through weaving. She will be greatly missed by all. Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and June Rhodes, and sister Deborah. Survivors include her husband Steve, sister Elizabeth, and brothers James and William. Friends and family are invited to share memories and stories of Sue at a memorial service on January 17 at The Cremation Society, 7110 France Ave S, Edina, Minnesota 55435. Visitation is at 1:00 and the service is at 2:00.
