Anderson, Harriet (Town) age 78, died November 18, 2008. Graduated Washburn H.S. 1948. Majored in Art at the U of M and stayed in art her entire career. She worked locally at Star Tribune, Dayton's, Pillsbury's and then moved to San Francisco where she met and married Donald Anderson. Until retirement she did freelance artwork, then moved to Prescott, AZ and continued her study in various forms of art. Harriet won acclaim, awards and made many friends in the art world in San Francisco and Arizona. In September, 2007, she returned to Mpls to stay. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Anderson (1992); parents, George M. and Coletta M. Town; brother, Robert G. Towne; and nephew, Jonathon. Survived by brother, George H. Town; nephews, Christopher and Garret Town; and nieces, Elizabeth Kirby, Katherine Mycka, Margaret and Charlotte Towne. Memorial service and reception 11 AM SATURDAY, December 6th at THOMSON-DOUGHERTY MANSION, 2535 Park Ave., Mpls 55404, gathering beginning at 10 AM.
