Warner, William H. (Bill) Age 86, of Mpls, died December 27, 2015. Preceded in death by parents, brother Thomas, and son Thomas. Survived by wife Janet and daughter Katherine. Bill was born and grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, where he earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Carnegie Institute of Technology. He was an emeritus professor of the Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics Dept. at the U of MN. He authored two respected textbooks, Statics and Dynamics, with LE Goodman, as well as many papers. More than 40 students earned advanced degrees under his direction. Bill's wide-ranging interests included classical music, philately, history, cheese, and travel. No services.
