Antholz, Beatrice "Bee" Casperson Loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and friend, passed away early Saturday morning, July 12, 2008. Bee lived a full and adventurous life. Born in Frederic, WI on October 17, 1914 to Ella and C. B. Casperson. Beatrice attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Superior. Bee began her teaching career in Spooner, WI where she met and married H. J. Antholz in 1942. She became a mother to the three Antholz boys, Jim, John, and Bill, who were joined by her son Carl and daughter Mary Bee. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. J.; an infant daughter, Jean Marie; her parents; and her sister, Cappy Rice. In 1962, H. J. and Bee moved to Minneapolis, MN where Bee taught English and Creative Writing at Roosevelt High School until her retirement in 1982. Bee had a passion for life, reading and writing; the students she taught; exploring new cultures; and traveling extensively around the world. She influenced many beyond her family. Bee is survived by her sons, Jim (Bobbi) Antholz, John Antholz, Bill (Jan) Antholz, Carl Antholz; and daughter, Mary Bee Antholz; grandchildren, Lori Kennedy, Jim Antholz, Kim Kazmierczak, Wendy Antholz, Tom Antholz, Teri Kotilinek, and John Antholz; many great-grandchildren; her sister, Elaine (Dan) Edwards; nieces, Debby Rice and Karen Hughes; nephew, Palmer Edwards. Bee will be missed by all she touched. A graveside service for Beatrice "Bee" Antholz will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2008 at the Spooner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remember Bee's childhood wish and abiding dream for world peace. In her words, "Use your imagination". The family is being assisted with arrangements by the Dahl Funeral Home.
