Hornstein, Dr. Stephen age 83, of Golden Valley, formerly of Cincinnati, Ohio, died May 1st. Dr. Hornstein was born in Hungary, and survived the Nazi Holocaust. He twice escaped his captors and returned to his hometown to find that he had lost over half of his family. His story was recently chronicled in a series of video-taped interviews in conjunction with Stephen Spielberg funded Survivors of the Visual History Foundation project and archived in the National Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C, and University of Southern California. Dr. Hornstein is survived by sons, Dr. Mark Hornstein (Dr. Abby Hornstein) of Westwood, Massachusetts, and State Representative Frank Hornstein (Rabbi Marcia Zimmerman), Minneapolis, and daughter, Dr. Ruth Hornstein (Dr. Peter Scal), Minneapolis; a brother, Jerry Hornstein, Los Angeles, CA and seven grandchildren. Funeral service will be held today Sunday in Cincinnati, Ohio. Memorials are preferred to Issac M. Wise Temple, Hornstein Memorial Lecture Fund, 8329 Ridge Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45236.
