Patricia L. 'Pat' Welna

Welna, Patricia L. (Pat) age 93, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2023. Preceded in death by parents James and Grace Farkell, infant brother Wilson and husband Virgil whom she adored. Just a few weeks ago she said the most significant thing that happened in her life, was marrying Virgil. Pat graduated from St. Margaret's Academy and the Minnesota School of Business. She lovingly raised three children and then partnered with her husband in operating Welna Hardware. In later years she loved to sit at the hardware store sharing unconditional love and cookies each day. She is survived by children Jim (Sue), Ginny Magner (Joe), and Mark (Cathy), grandchildren, Jenn (Garrett), Becca, Naomi Bouska (Cody), Peter, Sam (Jenna), Emily Anderson (Paul), Molly and ten great-grandchildren. Services will be held at St. Joan of Arc Church, 4537 3rd Ave, Mpls on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Visitation at 10 am. Mass at 11 am with lunch following.
