Morton, Julie S. (Lenzmeier) Julie, age 68, having a flair for the spectacular, left her earthly life on the first day of the new year. JuIie is preceded in death by her father Ken and mother Dotty Lenzmeier and her loving niece, Lauren Borgstrom. She is survived by husband Kent Morton; siblings Anne Borgstrom, and Robert, Teri, Mario, John, and Jim Lenzmeier.

Born in St. Paul, Julie grew up and was schooled in Little Canada, graduated from the University of Minnesota Journalism school, started as an operator at the phone company and served there for decades rising through the ranks until she retired with honors as a highly valued project manager/team leader in 2008.

To remember Julie, do something to show your love for the earth and all its creatures, because that's what she would do. Put some seed out for the hungry birds in winter and take a moment to wonder at their fierce tenacity for life and their beauty. Take a moment to hug your loved ones, pets, kids, neighbors and tell them you love them. It's all about the love. That's Julie. She loved to make people happy. A primary passion for Julie was visiting Children's hospitals and nursing homes with her registered therapy dogs Honey and Sophie.

Julie was a gardener, devoted to nature, its moods, its beauty and its wondrous spiritual dimensions; Spring, her favorite season, green her favorite color, laughter her favorite expression. A Celebration of Life service therefore will be on a day in a warm month of Spring, outdoors, weather permitting. Agenda: fun, fresh air, loving remembrances, and laughter. Details to follow.

Another very good way to remember our Julie is with a Tribute Donation in support of the Alzheimer's Association.
