Cook, Peter Thomas age 87, from Wayzata, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 30, 2022. Peter was born in Philadelphia, PA. Shortly after, his family moved to Miami, FL, where he grew up. Peter graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in finance and was a member of the college golf team. Upon graduation, he proudly served in the U.S. Army. Florida is where his passion for golf began, as he later competed in national amateur tournaments and even considered turning professional. However, his business acumen took over and he became a true entrepreneur. With one of his many accomplishments being the original Wendy's franchisee in MN. Peter was also active on the Methodist Hospital Board, Junior Achievement, and SCORE. He had a passion for being involved in his community and helping others achieve success. He believed success started with education, opportunity, and making a plan, he always wanted to know if you had a plan. Peter was a great supporter when it came to sports for his children and also the coaches, players, and programs. You could always find him nearby watching, taking stats, and cheering proudly. His love for travel, time spent in Carmel, CA, jazz music, golf, hunting, and connecting with others made him memorable wherever he went. Peter enjoyed a rich and full life and wouldn't have written his book any differently. Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dianne, his children, Crosby Middlemass (Scott), Peter T. Cook Jr. (Kari), Robin Ebbert (Michael), Piper Cochrane (Keith), his grandchildren, Brody and Porter Cook, Callie and CeCe Ebbert, and siblings Tony and Tommy Cook.
