Hook, Julian J. age 80, of Navarre, passed away peacefully after spending heartfelt time with his wife of 55 years and their five children. He had valiantly survived 8 months of acute leukemia. Julian was a 1959 graduate of Robbinsdale High School. He went on to the University of Minnesota where he earned a Bachelor's, Masters', and Juris Doctorate Degrees. Julian was a Gopher Athletic Great being a member of the National Championship football team in 1960 and a member of the 1961 and 1962 Rose Bowl Teams. In 2004, he was inducted into U of M's National "M" Club Hall of Fame. Julian was a special assistant to the Minnesota Attorney General from 1967-1970, a Legislative State Representative from 1970-1974, had a law partnership with Vince Lombardi, Jr. from 1970-1974, and had a solo practice until the time of his death. He was an instructor of Business Law at the University of St. Thomas Graduate School from 1974-to 2000. Julian is survived by his wife Peggy, their children - Joseph (Elena), Patrick (Christina), Michael (Amy), Sarah (Jeremy Mape), Elizabeth, and grandchildren - Madison, Zachary, Julian, Jackson, Bennett, Patrick, Cecilia, Mia, Isabella, Olivia, and John Julian. Julian attended daily Mass throughout his entire life and was a deeply religious, loving, and caring husband, father, grandfather, uncle, neighbor, and friend. Funeral Mass of Christian Celebration at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Mound at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 30th with Visitation one hour prior.
