Swanick, Robert "Bob" James Age 69 of Edina, MN passed away peacefully on December 25, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. Just like he dealt with experiences in his life, Bob managed his illness with strength and grace, wanting to spend as much time with his family as possible. On his final day, he was surrounded by his family who he adored more than anything in the world. After graduating with an MBA from the University of Michigan, Bob went to work for US Home in Houston, Texas. He moved to Minnesota to work for Orrin Thompson and Lennar Homes, dedicating his career to the homebuilding business as a Division President. He also served as an Executive Officer in both the St. Paul Builders Association and the Builders Association of the Twin Cities. Bob had a passion for camping and fishing which he instilled in his children. He loved to support the University of Michigan as a dedicated fan of the Wolverines (Go Blue!) and through the alumni book club. He is survived by his wife Lino, and children Vanessa (Jeff) Sexton, Jennifer (Dan) Ostlund, and Andrew (Carrie) Swanick. You are invited to a celebration of Bob's life on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Ember & Ice - Omni Viking Lakes, 2611 Nordic Way, Eagan, MN. Open house from 5-7pm. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
