Weisman, David Charles age 69, passed peacefully Dec 28, 2021 from complications of COVID-19. His mother, Rivian Weisman gave birth to him Sept 30, 1952 while in an iron lung during the Polio epidemic. A kind, gentle, loving free-spirit, with an undying devotion to his daughter, Sarah, he will be remembered by his weekly "Shabbat Shalom, Love Always" texts and his everlasting love of chocolate malts. Preceded in death by his wife: Becky Weisman, and parents: Paul & Rivian Weisman, who we believe are welcoming him to a world free of any earthly hurts and pains. David is survived by his daughter: Sarah Weisman & fiancé, Tony Schmitz; sister: Parrel Weisman Caplan; brother: Billy Weisman, & partner, Robin Fisher; nieces and nephews: Chloe Caplan, Alyssa Caplan, Aly Weisman Gilboa, & husband, Dave; Charlie Weisman, & wife, Laura; and his loving cousins from the Hechter and Weisman families. A heartfelt thanks to Heidi and the team at Sholom; Isaac and the team at Rising Cedars, and to David's medical team at HCMC - all of whom were loving and devoted caregivers, treating David as if he were their own family. Memorial service 1:00 pm THURSDAY, January 6th in the main sanctuary at TEMPLE ISRAEL, 2323 Fremont Ave. S., Minneapolis (masks are required). Funeral service will also be available via zoom. Zoom Shiva 7pm Thursday. Email zoom1@hodroffepstein.com for the zoom link. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations made to some of the places and things that meant the most to David - the Sabes JCC or public radio KBEM-Jazz88! Lastly, when possible, look for acts of random grace and compassion where judgment might otherwise be met because everyone you meet is fighting their own internal battle. Love, Peace, Health & Happiness. Hodroff-Epstein 612-871-1234 hodroffepstein.com
