John B. Maunsell
Maunsell, John B. Age 89 of Eden Prairie, MN Formerly of Minneapolis John passed away peacefully surrounded by his family December 22, 2021. John was born in Yakima, Washington but settled in Minneapolis where he attended college (go Gophers!), rowed for the the Minneapolis Rowing Club, and was a member of the Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity. He served 4 years as a flight navigator in the Air Force, but came back to start his family and to work as a systems analyst for Honeywell, Control Data, and the State of Minnesota. John was an avid reader, and a collector of coins, stamps, and cannons. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends at his cabin on the Gunflint Trail. He will be remembered for his quick wit, his dry sense of humor, and his home-made Christmas caramels. He was happily married to Sharon for 49 years who passed before him. He was a wonderful father to his children, Betsy Janke (David) of St Paul, John (Patsy) of Chicago, Mary Morris (Doug) of Denver and proud Papa to his 8 grandchildren: Max (Maggie), Peter & Anna Janke, Katie Devey (Alan), Shea Graglia (Luca), Anne Maunsell, Ella & Joe Morris and one great granddaughter, Gigi Devey, and lastly brother to Helen Koenig, Lima Peru.
