Koperski, Claire Louise of Crystal, MN passed away peacefully on November 29, 2021 at the sweet age of 88. Claire was born in Madison, WI on June 13, 1933 to Harold and Marjorie Hennig, the oldest of four beautiful daughters. Claire was a tomboy growing up which led to her love of downhill skiing. She was a member of the Rib Mountain Ski Patrol and in 1953 she was crowned Snow Ski Queen of United States by the real Tarzan, Lex Barker, and actress Lana Turner in Aspen Colorado. Claire was a sports enthusiast like no other: active in volleyball, bowling, bridge, golf, and was an avid fisher woman. Claire married Gerald (Jerry) Koperski in November 1954 and together they raised four children. She worked as a Social Security claims representative and formed many lifelong friendships with her co-workers. Claire spent many happy seasons at the family cabin often taking delighted family and friends on her pontoon, the Claire de Loon. Claire was beloved for her kind, sweet gentle soul and quick wit and humor. Claire loved life and wanted everyone around her to "be happy" and "have fun. She made our hearts happy. Claire will be missed significantly by her large circle of family and friends. Claire leaves behind her children Jeff, (Trinka) Koperski, Jill Frey, Julie Forsberg, and Mike Koperski. Her two "seesters" Margo (Ken) Noworatzky, and Kim (Charlie) Berg, her seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, her little dog Ollie and close personal friend Sharon Bross. Claire is preceded in death by parents Harold and Marjorie Hennig, husband Gerald (Jerry) Koperski, "seester" Susan Hansen, sons-in-law Bradly Forsberg and Gary Frey. A special thank you to Silver Creek on Main staff for the tender care given to our beloved mom.
