Pouliot, Joanne (nee Faber) Joanne Marie Pouliot, our loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother peacefully left this world on December 1st, 2021 with her devoted husband Richard, of 67 years, by her side. She was born on May 15th, 1935, the second of five children born to Henry and Charlotte Faber. Joanne grew up on Medicine Lake and was a graduate of Wayzata High School, Class of 53'. She married the love of her life, Richard, on August 7th, 1954. She loved her country and willingly accepted the rigors of a military wife. She stood guard over her children, performing duties of both mother and father while her husband served multiple overseas deployments. She was a devoted mother and a true embodiment of love. Her strong faith in God was evident by her generous heart, always giving of her time, talent, and treasure. Joanne had a zest for life that was infectious, and she never stopped growing, always willing to take on a new adventure. She learned to snow ski at the age of 50, joined the church bell choir in her 60's, and started deer hunting at 70. She still holds the camp record for "Cleanest Shot"! She loved to dance, especially the polka, with husband Richard. She was a relentless baker with a published cookbook of family treasures. She was an eternal optimist who always told her children to never give up. Preceded in death by parents Henry and Charlotte Faber, sister Shirley Rucke, brother Robert Faber, daughter in law Robbie Pouliot, and infant grandsons, Thomas and Robert Pouliot. Survived by Lt. Col. Richard Pouliot USAF (ret), her children Therese Pelaez (George), Kathleen McGuire, sons Steven, John, and Joseph Pouliot. Grandchildren Shea, John, Stephanie, Charlotte, Amy, Rachael, Sarah, Andrea, and Katie. Great grandchildren, Gage, Bryce, Lucy, Lille, Emery, Nolan, and June. Brother Jack Faber and sister Rosemary Schultz. Visitation 4-7pm, Sunday, December 12th, 2021 at Gearty-Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave. N. with prayer service at 6:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 am December 13th, 2021 at the Church of Good Shepherd, 145 Jersey Ave. S, Golden Valley, with visitation one hour prior. Mass concelebrated by Revs. Luke Marquard, Brothers-in-law Francis and Eugene Pouliot. Interment St. Jeanne de Chantel Cemetery, Corcoran. The family wishes to thank the staff at The Glenn Hopkins and Park Nicollet Methodist Hospice for their compassionate tender loving care. Joanne's loving example continues to live on in all those she touched. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association or the Church of the Good Shepherd.
