Reiter, Fred August born Feb. 24, 1939 in Alma, WI. At 82 years, Fred joined his Mother Nora, Son Chris, Sister Marcia, Wife Barbara, Best Friend Rich Koch and so many others that preceded him in passing on Dec. 1, 2021.

A graduate of Alma High School, St. Olaf College, and the University of Wisconsin Law School. An Attorney, who considered a singing career and the clergy before committing himself to the law. Fond of the quote: "The law is a jealous mistress, and requires a long and constant courtship...". He had many adventures along his professional journey, first in Green Bay, WI then in the Twin Cities area (1974+). Fred lived his principles, as Frank Sinatra would have said, he did it "My Way".

A person who truly appreciated all the moments that make up a life. Above all, he valued Friends and Family. Fred was an outdoorsman, a fisherman, a bird hunter in his early days who graduated to bird watching in later years, and someone who truly appreciated the lakes, woods and spirit of northern Minnesota, Wisconsin and the Mississippi river valley. He had a love of printed materials including books, newspapers, maps and pamphlets of all kinds...all marked with yellow highlighter.

A long time resident of Golden Valley his home at 3146 Quail Av. featured his beloved Oak tree dating back to colonial times, his deck, gardens and all the local critters. An avid supporter of the Green Bay Packers, WI Badgers, and MN Twins, he was fiercely loyal to his teams but welcomed fans of all stripes.

Survived by the Reiters of Medina, MN (Son Patrick, Daughter In-Law Lisa, grandchildren Macy and Jack), sister Mary Hunter (Bob) and brother Tom Reiter (Lisa) of the Seattle area, sister Jane (Ron) of Milwaukee, his first wife Mary Jo Reiter of Stillwater and many other loving family and friends.

Fred made the most of life with Alzheimer's since his diagnosis in 2016. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org/) as they search for treatments and a cure.

Visitation will be held at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Maple Grove, MN at 1pm Friday December 10th, with service at 2pm, followed by a celebration of life at 3pm at the Rush Creek Golf Club (adjacent to Lord of Life).
