She was an active member of the Schubert Club where she enjoyed singing with her husband and friends, belonged to several book clubs, and participated in a writing group that she greatly enjoyed. Her career was primarily devoted to working with the City of Minneapolis and the State of MN. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a determined individual who was an avid supporter of the DFL, a feminist who championed many women political candidates, and a person who stood up for civil rights. She was preceded in death by husband Norman, parents Wilson and Evelyn Egbert, sisters Rachel and Miriam, brothers Bill and Jon, nephew Doug, and niece Emily. She is survived by cousin Toni, nieces Debbie and Liz, nephews Karl, Jason, Dan and Andy & sisters-in-law Linda and Joanne. On 12/10/2021 a memorial service will be held at 2 pm at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 4100 Lyndale Ave S, Minneapolis. Masks will be required at the service. In light of the current community increase in Covid transmission, the family encourages you to consider attending via the Bethlehem livestream link at blctcmn.co/stream which will be active a few minutes before the start time of 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the MS Society of MN, Friends of the Hennepin County Library, or Bethlehem.
